COUNTRIES OF NORTH AMERICA, LATIN
AMERICA, AND THE AUSTRALIAN
CONTINENT, IS NOW A WORLDWIDE
PHENOMENON AND IMPORTANT TO
NATIVE AND MINORITY GROUPS
BEYOND SETTLER COLONIAL
CONTEXTS. INSTITUTIONS AND LAWS
ON INDIGENEITY AND EMERGENT
GLOBAL NETWORKS HAVE ENGAGED
THE PARTICIPATION OF INDIGENOUS
PEOPLES IN SOCIAL, POLITICAL,
ENVIRONMENTAL, ECONOMIC, AND
AESTHETIC MOVEMENTS GLOBALLY AND
CROSS CULTURALLY.
WE WILL EMPHASIZE THE EXPERIENCE OF
INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF SOUTHEAST ASIA
IN THAILAND, BURMA, LAOS, MYANMAR,
CAMBODIA, VIETNAM, ETC. AND
COMPARE THEIR EXPERIENCES TO OTHERS
AROUND THE WORLD.
