Biography
Peter R. Eby, MD, FACR, FSBI completed his undergraduate degree with Honors in Anthropology with a focus on biological anthropology and human evolution under the direction of Gerald Eck, PhD, at the University of Washington in 1993. Dr. Eby received his MD from Vanderbilt University in 1999. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowships in Emergency Radiology and Breast Imaging at the University of Washington in 2005.
Dr. Eby served as an Assistant Professor of Radiology in the section of Breast Imaging at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance until 2011. He is now an attending radiologist and Section Head of Breast Imaging at the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. Dr. Eby has published research on breast MRI, mammography and image-guided breast procedures. He is a Fellow in the Society of Breast Imaging. He is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology and Chair of the Breast Imaging Committee on Screening and Emerging Technology.
Dr. Eby trains medical residents in clinical breast imaging and image-guided breast interventions. He is certified in the Virginia Mason Production System that places the patient first and prioritizes value and quality outcomes over quantity.
