COURSE TITLE: PERSPECTIVES IN MEDICAL ANTHROPOLOGY COUNTS TOWARD MAGH
Syllabus Description (from Canvas):

Special Studies in Anthropology: The Western Medical Tradition focuses on theories, institutions, and practices of medicine with their origins in the so-called West. Does anything unite Western medicine? What medical ideas, practices, and institutions are characteristic of the West? This course will consider these topics from an anthropological and historical perspective, including ethnographic studies, social scientific theories of medicine, and historical and anthropological comparisons between medical systems and practices.
